Today I'm going to talk about my skincare routine~
It's taken me to find a while to find products that suit my skin. My skin is generally dry, and especially so at the minute with the cold and windy weather. I get a lot of dry patches on and around my nose and my forehead.
I start off by washing my face with Simple's oil balancing exfoliating wash. Even though my skin is generally dry and not oily I find that this product really works for me. I guess it's the witch hazel in it. It also helps with the redness that I also experience with my skin.
Once a week I'll use Dirty Works Belle of the Ball face mask. This product was recommended to me by a friend and I've used it ever since. I find with this product a little bit goes a long way as it spreads really well and dries quickly. It leaves my skin very soft after I've removed it.
I'll then use No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion. No7 products work really really well with my skin and they're current my product of choice for a lot of my skincare. I apply a little bit of this cleansing lotion and then use a cotton pad to wipe it off. This product leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and clean. I love this cleansing lotion so much.
After this is where I'll use No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Day Cream. Once again it's another product that works really well with my skin. My skin is noticeably smoother after applying this day cream. I'll switch to using the night cream before I go to bed. I find that usually after applying the day cream I have a really good smooth base for my foundation before applying my primer.
I also use No7 Beautiful Skin Dry Skin Rescue. I've been really raving about this product to everyone. The first time I used it I was amazed. I used it on a patch of dry skin around the bottom of my nose and instantly the skin felt so soft, smooth and hydrated. It is truly one of those products that I love with all my heart. I'll only use it if I'm having a really really bad skin day, which is usually due to the cold weather.
Lastly, I also treat my lips to a little bit of TLC. I use a Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm for this. Sometimes I have really chapped lips, which obviously makes any lipstick you apply look really horrible. I also have a Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm that I apply if I'm not going to wear anything on my lips. It smells delicious and gives a little hint of pink to my lips as well as hydrating them.
I have a box full of cleansers, moisturisers and masks but at the minute I find that this combination of products work for me. I had a lot of different creams and lotions for Christmas so I'm working through those slowly.
